StudyClub for Dentists, Dental Assistants and Dental Laboratory Technicians

Our STUDYCLUB was established to promote state-of-the art dentistry both in professional training and everyday practice, optimize the standards of preventive dentistry and, above all, achieve excellence in dental care in terms of quality, durability and aesthetics.

Certification

All STUDYCLUB events correspond to the guidelines for continuing education (CE) issued by the Austrian Dental Chamber (ADC, ÖSTERREICHISCHE ZAHNÄRZTEKAMMER). Therefore, course participants are eligible to receive certification with the allocated number of CE points from the ADC.

  • Aesthetic Anterior and Posterior Composite Restorations (Part 2)—Tips and Tricks for Practical Use (lecture and demonstration on a live patient as well as hands-on training on a study model presented by Dr. Karl Immler)

    Dr. Karl Immler, who has been studying different composite techniques for more than 20 years, shows how the very latest techniques can be used efficiently in everyday dental practice.

 

  • Aesthetic Anterior and Posterior Composite Restorations (Part 2)—Tips and Tricks for Practical Use (lecture presented by Dr. Karl Immler)

    Dr. Karl Immler, who has been studying different composite techniques for more than 20 years, shows how the very latest techniques can be used efficiently in everyday dental practice.

 

  • Simply the best! The modified FGP (functionally generated path) technique (presented by Dr. Claus Nowag and Rudolf Selz, Certified Dental Technician)

    This technique allows for high-precision placement of tooth restorations with a perfect vertical dimension and no opposing contacts. No intra-oral adjustment of the crown is needed after placement.
    The course includes a theoretical introduction to the FGP technique, a demonstration on a live patient, laboratory procedures, handling of the verticulator and adjustment of bite registrations, modifications of the technique, indications for the modified FGP technique, advantages of the technique for the dentist and benefits for the patient

 

  • Periodontal Treatment: Traditional and Innovative Approaches (presented by Dr. Iris Gollmitzer and Kerstin König, DH)

    Prophylactic strategies: basics of dental prophylaxis and oral hygiene, professional teeth cleaning, fluoride therapy (caries, erosion, wedge-shaped defects), use of antibacterial products
    Step-by-step therapeutic approach to periodontitis: aetiology, diagnostics, treatment plan, microbiology screening and antibiotic treatment, associations with and risks for systemic disease, case studies, indications for surgery

 

  • NobelRondo (presented by Michael Sztachovic, Certified Dental Technician, Nobel Biocare)

    Concept and technology of NobelRondo, dynamic colour harmony system, presentation and hands-on training, standard build-up on Procera Alumina, demonstration of layering with NobelRondo Zirconia, questions and discussion

 

  • Minifive®—mini-implant-supported dentures in the edentulous lower jaw—all steps of treatment hands-on (presented by Dr. Peter Huemer)

    Theoretical and practical course including hands-on surgical and prosthetic work on a bone model, patient presentation and surgical template fabrication, hands-on placement of five mini-implants in a prepped patient, impression for immediate implant restoration, placement of relined dentures, introduction to the implant technique, indications and limitations, prosthetic criteria for good operative results. For each participant one patient is recruited by Dr. Huemer and his team. All-round management and operative assistance are provided by Dr. Huemer and his staff.

 

  • Incision & Suture Techniques—a hands-on course with a short theoretical introduction (presented by Dr. Peter Huemer)

    This presentation includes all suture techniques relevant to dentistry, their indications, benefits and limitations, all mucogingival procedures performed on a study model, apically repositioned flaps, lateral sliding flaps, coronally advanced flaps, inlay- and onlay-grafting, connective tissue grafting, root coverage procedures, implant uncovering procedures, and the Palacci papillary regeneration technique.

 

  • Fabrication of duplicate dentures for use as surgical templates, aesthetic interim dentures and/or spare dentures (presented by Dr. Peter Huemer)

  • Minifive®, mini-implant-supported dentures for the edentulous lower jaw (presented by Dr. Peter Huemer)

    This presentation outlines the operative technique, its advantages and limitations as well as the prosthetic criteria for successful treatment.

 

  • Anterior and Posterior Composite Restorations using the Vanini-Approach (presented by Dr. Karl Immler)
